Ms. Elizabeth Churchya was my son's piano teacher from when he was 6 until age 14. My son Mark joyfully learned so much theory and technique from her. He learned to play so many classical and pop pieces. There was a time, when he was between 8 and 10, when he would practice on his own at all hours of the day because he was loving piano so much. Thanks to Elizabeth, my boy is RCM Piano Level 5 certified. He is currently enjoying violin more than piano, consistently making the South Carolina All State Orchestra roster. A lot of that success we attribute to the musical know-how he gained from his piano teacher.

Elizabeth has helped me improve my musical skills since I was little. I have been with her for 5 years. She was always very nice, and never got angry. She taught me tons of different tactics to practice and perfect what I play. She has helped me pick out pieces and learn about the vastly different styles of music and composers throughout the ages. Dr. Churchya is probably the best teacher I have ever (out of all the academic and arts teachers I had combined). I learned so much from her for nearly 10 years. She is very patient and encouraging and her soft, but persistent pushing has sculpted me into the pianist and person I am today. She learned how I learned best, and implemented that into our lessons so that I could perform better. As a result, I have gotten phenomenal results in my music career. Dr. Churchya always listens to what her students have to say, and use such feedback so she can be a better teacher to them as well. As a young student, I always looked up to Dr. Churchya, the piano teacher who did it all and taught others while being piled with schoolwork in university; she is hard-working and devoted to her work. She is a role model, not only for her phenomenal pianist skills and expert knowledge in music, but also for who she is as a person. Ms. Elizabeth was my daughter's piano teacher for 3 wonderful years! From the very beginning, Ms. Elizabeth was such an amazing teacher. She was just her 2nd ever teacher as she had just started kindergarten the fall prior. My daughter started out as a shy and hesitant student and with her guidance she is now an eager rising 3rd grader entering the gifted academic program!
